New Show – I Love My Phone!
I Love My Phone was developed with top teacher-trainer Mark Andrews. It uses songs, scenes, games, and a lot of interaction to look at the role that phones are playing in our lives today. The show is mostly light and entertaining, but it does introduce some serious points and encourages students to think and give their own opinions. We will tour February 17th-31st and then other dates tbc.
Speaking Clearly – A Workshop For Students
This very popular workshop by David Fisher is a great way for students to gain confidence speaking in front of others. It is especially useful for students preparing for exams. Details here.
Instant Theatre Shows – 1984, Macbeth, Sherlock Holmes
These shows have to be played by special arrangement as they uniquely involve our best and most-experienced actors. The programs involve a combination of presentation, acted scenes, and discussion with the audience. We also play these shows as part of our Your Voice evening program (see below). Details here.
Your Voice Theatre Is Back!
You can now see our shows in the afternoon and evening with our Your Voice Theatre program for the general public. It is a great chance for anybody, including teachers and students, who want to practice their English and have a great theatre experience. History-themed school trips to England
This year we are starting a new co-operation with Czech travel agency Pro-Travel. We have designed a special trip to England that covers many points from our History of England shows. The guides will come from our actors, the trip will be mostly managed in English and there will be some entertaining project work for the group to do. It is a clear mark up from most trips where students do not speak much English and often do not learn much either. Trip details here.
A week of teacher-training in England with S.O.L.
In another new co-operation, Theatre director David Fisher will be leading a week-long techer-training camp in Barnstaple, England with Speaking One Language. S.O.L. have a great reputation in the region and it is a great chance to learn the best that The Bear has to share while enjoying some beautiful English countryside and meeting new friends from all over Europe.
